Voting by Italians living abroad
Articles 56 and 57 of the Constitution envisage that 12 Deputies and 6 Senators shall be elected by Italian citizens living abroad.
To this end, the Constitution establishes a special constituency for voters abroad.
The relevant provisions were adopted in Law no. 459 of 27 December 2001.
